Rights against the Right

Rarely do I get the opportunity to work on a project that correlates so closely to my values, and has as big a social impact as Rechts Gegen Rechts (Rights against the Right). The organisation “Laut gegen Nazis” is trying to stop online shops from selling Nazi merch to the public, by putting copyrights onto popular Nazi slogans, codes and phrases. This way, they can ask the sellers for money, or request a cease and desist order, effectively putting these hate-spreading merchants out of business.

The film by Sehsucht and JvM-Spree went quite viral in Germany, and won several awards, but the most important thing to me, is that the message is loud and clear: we do not condone hateful mindsets and those who propagate it.
